May angels lead you in…to our episode on S2E22: The Tide That Left and Never Came Back. In addition to getting in our feels, we dissect the heck out of the George Bernard Shaw quote and its connection to the characters’ lives and our own lives. We also unpack Lucas’ reunion with Haley, Chris and Brooke’s comedic scene, Dan trying to deport Andy, and Nicki kidnapping Jenny (and the heartbreaking repercussions for Peyton and Jake). And of course, we discuss the Jimmy Eat World concert montages and the finale’s use of flashbacks. Are these flashbacks better than the ones used in the season one finale or do they still not make sense? Spoiler alert: It’s a little of both. We hope you have your motorcycle helmet (as you ride off with Jake Jaglieski) because we’re on part one of the two-part finale!
