In this episode, we discuss the Naley of it all, Brucas’ chemistry, mid-2000s music nostalgia, and all the fun humorous scenes, which of course includes the Brooke/Peyton door scene that Kaitlyn is obsessed with! We also compare the two different actors who play Papa Peyton and unpack the character’s decision to keep Ellie away from Peyton.

3.03: First Day on a Brand New Planet

Rather than go to therapy, we decided to start a podcast! JK. We have healthier coping mechanisms, unlike Peyton Sawyer, who desperately needs therapy! And she’s not the only one. We discuss how this show fails to unpack Dan’s PTSD from the night of the fire, Mouth gets advice from Whitey about how to get over a breakup (because Whitey’s wife died and the two feelings are definitely the same), Brucas has questionable choices in ethically non-monogamous relationships, and Haley deals with a no-nuance bully. In other news, Lucas and Haley make predictions for the new school year, Kevin Kilner is amazing as Papa Peyton, we learn more about Lucas' role during the night of the fire, Nathan gives us all of the feels when he puts his hand on the small of Haley’s back, and Kaitlyn learns that the zip code for Dawson’s Creek is 90108 during our chat on S3E3, “First Day on a Brand New Planet”!

Can we get a woot woot? Because we are joined again by the wonderful Jenna Lenskold for our discussion on S3E4: An Attempt to Tip the Scales! We discuss the masquerade party, including the mysterious lady in red, the Sandy and Batman kiss, our Fall Out Boy nostalgia, and Kaitlyn even reveals her dream to dress as Sandy from Grease! Additionally, we unpack Chris Keller’s return, Ellie’s breast cancer diagnosis, and Dan’s mayoral campaign. And of course we laugh hysterically over the games Deb and Dan play with each other! Rachel has officially arrived in Tree Hill and brings all of the fiery redhead representation we needed! In our discussion on S3E5: A Multitude of Casualties, we unpack the heck out of Nathan testing Haley’s loyalty, Peyton’s reaction to Ellie’s lie about not being artistic, and Brucas’ relationship…with Rachel now involved. We call out Lucas for going on a road trip with Peyton so soon after getting together with Brooke and discuss how this episode could have been different if Lucas stayed in Tree Hill.
